Don, Jim gave me your address. What do you think of your HRD after his mods? Thanks, Keith ___________________________________________ IMO it turns a totally USELESS gain channels, into an amp with a stompbox free situation. Just last night I borrowed Jim's demo HR Deluxe for the other guitarist in my band to try. He owns a Blues Deville (212) and a HR Deville (410). He likes the old tweed Deville, but complains he has to crank it too much to get a good sound live. He heard Jim's and went nuts! and is begging to buy it, or have Jim mod his 410. The stock gains in the HRs sound buzzy, and transistor like ...., the red being worse than the yellow. What can I say...Jim is my favorite mad scientist......we should all take advantage of his mods before he becomes the next Gerald Weber, and his prices triple. I have owned many boutique amps from Tone Kings to Matchless, Dr Zs, Hollands, and Victorias. Good luck, Don |
